Digital leadership is the company key in facing a disruptive era

 

 

Jakarta (ANTARA) -- Digital leadership that is able to adapt to the rapid development of technology is considered to be the key for the business world to face the coming of a disruptive era, which has also proved destructive for companies that are unable to keep pace with the changing times.
This was conveyed by the Director of Development, Risk Management and Compliance of Indonesia Re, Putri Eka Sukmawati when opening the 2019 Digital Leadership Workshop at the Indonesia Re office, Friday (2/8).

"Business people must accept the fact that the business model has changed so that their mindset and mentality must also be adapted to the times," he said.

Seeing this fact, her party actively provides provision and training for all of its employees so that they can embrace technology in the entire spectrum of business development, customer relations, and human resource management.

"This workshop is expected to provide additional constructive thinking in building character and leadership principles based on digital transformation to improve its business," she added.

Meanwhile, in his presentation, industry observers and practitioners 4.0, Anugrah Pratama explained that the current industrial revolution is very different compared to all the revolutions that humanity has experienced before.

The reason is, the newly emerged facts and findings have had a significant impact on almost all industrial sectors.

"There are at least six enablers of the 4.0 industrial revolution: Internet of Things, blockchain, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, Analytics, and Cybersecurity," he said.

Leadership plays an important role in, not only, in saving a company from the effects of disruption, but also for achieving significant growth.

He continued, there are four key attitudes that represent digital leadership, which are: Navigate - able to direct companies to always adapt to changing times; Connect - able to connect people with an open work ecosystem; Relate - able to balance human and technology involvement in work; and Think - innovative and able to think holistically.

"Change is a necessity. Therefore, the decision is in the hands of business owners," he said.

The 2019 Digital Leadership Workshop was organized by the Indonesia Re Institute, a national insurance research and data center and information center under the auspices of Indonesia Re. With the theme 'Building Resilience To Embrace The New Era of Industry 4.0 Through Digital Leadership', this event is designed to build the character and mindset of this state-owned company employee in the midst of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
