Changing its tagline, Indonesia Re is committed to be a reliable reinsurance solution provider

Jakarta (ANTARA News) -- Bumn reinsurance, Indonesia Re, announced the change of the company tagline, from the previous 'Indonesia Leading Reinsurer' to 'Indonesia Re for Reinsurance Solutions'. This is driven by Indonesia Re's vision to be a reliable and credible solution provider for the country's insurance and reinsurance industry.

Director of Finance and HR of Indonesia Re, Imam Bustomi said, as a government-appointed company to be a National Reinsurance Company (PRN), it is committed to not only present innovative services, but also adaptive to the needs of ceding companies and the development of the times.

"We want to be a partner of the national insurance industry, accompanying them to face various challenges and developments over time," said Bustomi in between the Indonesia Re Technical Director Gathering 2019 in Jakarta, some time ago.

The alignment of Indonesia Re's performance with the tagline has been implemented through various initiatives in the form of cross-sector partnerships that make this red-plate company as the Center of Knowledge of the national insurance sector. The five institutions from across sectors are the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), the University of Indonesia (UI), the Indonesian KlasifIkasi Bureau (BKI), the Indonesian Actuary Association (PAI), and Maipark.

In order to give birth to reliable and integrity new underwriters, Indonesia Re for 17 consecutive years have held annual basic underwriting training for insurance industry players through In-House Training on Basic Life Underwriting.

Most importantly, Bustomi continued, through the New Excellent Service (NES), it provides guaranteed payment of reinsurance claims faster than other reinsurance companies. The NES allows ceding companies to receive claim payments no later than 10 days from the approval of the claim. This, in the end, impacts on the sooner the insurance company pays the claim to the insured.

"Although at most 10 days, during 2018 we managed to process claims on average only nine days," concluded the former Assistant of Business Development and Privatization of the Ministry of SOEs.
