Indonesia Re and PGAI are ready to produce reliable golfers from the insurance industry

Bogor, West Java (Antara News) - State-owned reinsurance company, Indonesia Re, is back in collaboration with the Indonesian Golf Insurance Association (PGAI) ready to produce talented golfers from the insurance industry by organizing the largest insurance industry golf competition in the country, Indonesia Re - PGAI Matchplay 2019, which was held in Bogor, which runs from March 5 to April 11, 2019, in Bogor, West Java.

Deputy Chairperson of PGAI Jafar Sidiq said the competition had been felt long before this matchplay event began.

"Every month for the past year, PGAI has held a match that brought together around 300 members, which in the end was only selected 32 members with the highest score who were entitled to compete in the matchplay stage," said Jafar.

Indonesia Re consistently provides full sponsorship in all series of PGAI activities for a full year. This is proof of the commitment of this state-owned company to contribute to building a conducive and healthy insurance and reinsurance industry.

General Reinsurance CEM and Administration Division Head Indonesia Re Arie Surya Nugraha said, as one of the most popular sports for insurance industry practitioners, golf is considered effective in strengthening cooperation between agencies.

"Apart from that, we also hope that the members will be able to compete in more prestigious events, and even at national and international levels," said Arie.

Furthermore, Arie hopes that insurance companies can further support the participants to take part in this golf tournament so that they can focus on competing and avoid having participants unable to attend and eventually dropping out in the middle of the tournament.

"In the future, we also hope that there will be academic golf training for young people so that they can participate in this competition and the management will be more enthusiastic in making the selection because of the emerging new seeds," said Arie.

The Indonesian Golf Competition Re - PGAI match play 2019 itself has played 32 participants and has won 16 winners who will then compete again next week.
