Jakarta, March 9, 2017. Indonesia Re - Gen Re Joint Seminar 2017 was opened by the Director of Indonesia Re, Kocu A. Hutagalung. This annual event has been carried out for 6 consecutive years by Indonesia Re and Gen Re. This year the theme raised is “Product Innovation, Trends and New Technology ”. The event, which was held at the Gran Melia Hotel, Jakarta, was attended by directors and representatives of life insurance companies in Indonesia. Also attending and delivering a speech, Mr. Chua Tuan Miang from Gen Re.

There were 6 topics raised in this seminar. The first topic delivered by Mr. John Ferguson was "Preferred Lives and Simplified Underwriting Products." The second topic was about "Product Trends In our Region" presented by Ms. Elena Quek. Third and fourth topics, "Probability of Ruin - Testing for Indonesian Insurance and Reinsurance Companies" presented by Nico Demus and "China Risk Oriented Solvency System (C-ROSS) & Its Impact on Life Insurance Company" presented by Mr. Chua Tuan Miang.

The event continued until late afternoon with the last 2 topics, "Functional Disability - A Product Innovation Made in Germany" presented by Mr. Tim Eppert and "New Technology in Protection Products" presented by Ms. Irene Ng. The event aims to bring new product ideas and developments from other markets to Indonesia and provide an opportunity for insurance professionals in Indonesia to exchange ideas with the speakers. The event was successful and officially closed by representatives of Indonesia Re and Gen Re.
