Indonesia Re Celebrates the Birthday of Pancasila as a Momentum to Strengthen its Role in National Development

The birthday of Pancasila, which falls on June 1, 2017, is used as a momentum for all Indonesian Re employees to strengthen their role in national development, as well as a reflection of unifying the nation.

Indonesia stands on the principle of Unity in Diversity with many reasons. Consisting of thousands of islands, hundreds of ethnicities, and various religions, Indonesia is a plural nation. National unity is an absolute prerequisite for this nation to achieve independence and prosperity.

Bung Karno first put forward the concept of Pancasila at the BPUPK session on June 1, 1945. Then, 21 days later, this concept was ratified as the Djakarta Charter (Piagam Djakarta) by Panitia Sembilan. On August 18, PPKI inaugurated the final text that complements the series of processes for the birth of Pancasila.

In a speech, Bung Karno said that the Indonesian nation had experienced two national staat (national states), namely during the days of the Majapahit and Sriwijaya kingdoms. "With the seizure of independence, the Indonesian nation will reunite. This country is a country for all; not for one person or group," said Bung Karno.

"The birthday of Pancasila is the right moment for Indonesia Re to reflect on the extent of our contribution to national development," said the head of corporate secretary Indonesia Re, Novis Asria, when met at the Pancasila Day documentary video watching event at the Indonesia Re office, Friday (2/03) .

In addition, the Novice continued, Indonesia Re also commemorates the birthday of Pancasila with various thematic activities. "Apart from watching documentary, we will also hold an essay writing competition and a video contest to sing the Garuda Pancasila song and a ceremony on June 1," concluded the Novice.
