Plt Dirut Indonesia Re Kocu A. Hutagalung menyampaikan sambutan di acara Kick-off Meeting PGAI Matchplay 2020 di Jakarta, Selasa

Jakarta - PGAI Matchplay, the annual golf tournament that brings together national insurers, will be held again from March 5th to March 31st 2020 in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java.
Kocu A. Hutagalung, President Director of PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) (Indonesia Re), the sole exclusive sponsor of the event, ensures that this golf tournament will be more competitive.

"The big 3 will definitely change from year to year. Moreover, with new members with respectable skill that have joined this year. This will increase the competetivity," he said at the 2020 PGAI Matchplay Kick-off Meeting in Jakarta.

PGAI (Indonesian Golf Insurance Association) is a group of amateur golfers from the Indonesian insurance and reinsurance industry. Every month for the past year, PGAI has held a match that brings together around 300 members. Only 32 members with the highest score are selected and entitled to compete in the tournament.

As the sole sponsor since 2016, Indonesia Re is committed to fully supporting this golf tournament. The reason behind that is that golf is one of the most popular sports for insurers around the world.

“The benefits of playing golf with associates are real, it builds chemistry,” he adds.

Chairman of PGAI, Robby Loho, says that Indonesia Re strives to continue to provide a forum for insurance industry golf players to compete in this tournament. The achievements made on the golf course will have a positive impact on both the golfer and the company they work for.

The impact may begin by a promotion to increasing the company’s stakeholders trust," he said.

Robby also gave appreciation to the participating companies who were increasingly showing their support by providing flexibility for employees to participate in the tournament.

"It's been 2 years and no one has walked out. So this also has an impact on increasing the competitiveness during the competition," he said.
