Salemba 30 Cup, Indonesia Re improved professionalism and sportsmanship

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Reinsurance BUMN, Indonesia Re is striving to improved its employees’ professionalism and sportsmanship through internal sports event called Salemba 30 Cup, in table tennis, golf, chess and badminton matches.

Chairman of the Sports and Arts Executive Board for Indonesia Re, Aries Karyadi said that it is his special responsibility to ensure all Indonesia Re’s employees’ are fit and spirited, to maintain the value of professionalism.

“We hired coaches to give proper training, provide adequate supporting equipment, manage field schedules, and also organize internal tournaments. We will select the best players to play in the external tournaments,” told Aries in Jakarta, last Friday.

Indonesia Re’s employees have participated in several external tournaments, such as AAUI Cup, AAJI Cup, andBUMN Cup. In those three tournaments, Indonesia Re has brought home trophies in AAUI Cup and AAJI Cup from table tennis events as its strongest sport.

“BUMN Cup is the biggest event, with tougher opponents, but we are still trying our best to win in this BUMN Cup event. We are planning to open more new sport events that we have not organized before,” he said.

Corporate Secretary Indonesia Re, Mardian Adhitya added that the board of directors are promoting these sport events as part of employee welfare programs, as employees’ fresh minds will increase productivity.
“When our employees participate in external tournaments representing Indonesia Re, we want to show that Indonesia Re has strong professionalism, as well as sportsmanship. It is where our true quality is being tested,” he said.

Salemba 30 Cup was held in August 2019, and the final game just ended last Friday. Not just trophies, the champions also received prize money, with the range between Rp. 500.000,- up to four million rupiahs.
