Appreciating & Caring for Local Residents, Indonesia Re Sacrificed Four Cows

Jakarta (Antara News) - State-owned reinsurance company, Indonesia Re, sacrificed four cows on Eid al-Adha 1439 H on Wednesday (22/8). The sacrificial meat will be distributed to residents living near the office on Jalan Salemba Raya, Central Jakarta, as a form of their concern for the community.

"So we will share the beef with the people around us," said Director of Finance & Human Resources of Indonesia Re, Eko Supriyanto Hadi, while attending the slaughtering of sacrificial animals at the Indonesia Re office.

In total there are 800 people who will receive the sacrificial meat. The distribution will be handed over to four mosques and four foundations. The sacrificial cows are donations from the company as well as voluntary donations from all employees of Indonesia Re.

"What we distribute is pure meat. In one plastic bag is half a kilogram of meat. Other than residents, we also distribute it to drivers and our office boys," he said.

Furthermore, Eko revealed that this activity of sacrificing and sharing with the community has become a tradition in his company. Grateful, the number of sacrificial animals this year is the largest compared to the same activity in previous years.

"Last year we only had two cows. But the point is we keep doing this. And we hope this is routine. Hopefully our sacrifice this year will be a blessing," said Eko.
