Jakarta (ANTARA) - BUMN reinsurance Indonesia Re invited its employees to participate in the sacrifice on the Eid al-Adha 1440 Hijriah which falls today, in order to create a sense of care and sharing with the environmental community around the Indonesia Re office which is located in the Salemba area, Central Jakarta.

Director of Finance & HR of Indonesia Re, Imam Bustomi said that this year, the company dedicated or presented two out of four cows to the 14 selected employees.

“Maybe, not everyone has sacrificed before. We hope we could realize the happiness of sharing, as well as a field of merit,” said Bustomi in between the slaughtering ceremony at the Indonesia Re office, Sunday (11/8).

With the theme 'Sharing Together in Favors of Sacrifice', this state-owned company sacrificed a total of four cows and three goats, consisting of two cows being donated by the company, one donation from Bustomi, and one from the joint venture of the mosque congregation. While, the goats were donations from three other Indonesian Re employees.

"Next year, the 14 names that have been ordained this year will be rotated with other employees who have not had the opportunity to sacrifice. Hopefully, at the end, all the employees of Indonesia Re will have the experience of sacrificing Qurbani," added Bustomi.

On the same occasion, Faizul Awal, Chairman of the Indonesia Re Islamic Spiritual Development Agency (Babin Rohis), appreciated the management's steps in changing the concept of worshiping Qurbani this year.

"Alhamdulillah, this certainly provides an opportunity for employees who are not able to sacrifice," he said.

He also explained that the distribution of the sacrificial meat amounted up to about a thousand bags, where each bag contains half a kilogram of boneless pure meat, will be distributed to the communities around the office
