Imam Bustomi, Director of Finance and Human Resources of Indonesia Re, said that Syariah Mandiri was chosen for this subsidiary of Bank Mandiri is a sharia bank with the largest share of the sharia business market in Indonesia.
"Also, the funds we have placed come from our sharia business unit, so it is in line with our target to develop our sharia business portfolio," said Bustomi.

Founded in 1985, AAI was established to support the development of national non-oil and gas exports. Currently, AAI has transformed into an insurance company that offers a variety of insurance portfolios, ranging from trade credit insurance, underwriting insurance, suretyship, general insurance, and sharia insurance.

ReIndo Syariah is the first sharia reinsurance company in Indonesia, which is the result of a spin-off of ReIndo's Sharia Reinsurance division that is now Indonesia Re.

The signing of the MoU with Mandiri Syariah is expected to open even bigger business opportunities for the two subsidiaries of Indonesia Re Group in the future, continued Bustomi.

"In the future, we expect the synergy between the two is realized where Mandiri Syariah will place its Sharia reinsurance premiums to AAI and ReIndo Syariah," he added.
