BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri - SMN Participants are Invited to recognize the role of BUMN

Yogyakarta (Antaranews Jogja) - As many as 23 participants of the Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SMN) 2018 Program in Yogyakarta were invited to get to know four State-Owned Enterprises before they were sent to Central Kalimantan to learn the local culture.
 
The four state-owned enterprises introduced were PT Angkasa Pura (AP) 1, Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia Re, and Kliring Berjangka Indonesia. These four SOEs are the organizers of the 2018 SMN program in Yogyakarta.
 
"SMN participants must recognize the role of BUMN from an early age. They must know that SMN is a program carried out by BUMN," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) 1 Adisutjipto Airport, Agus Pandu Purnama.
 
According to Agus, outstanding students who are selected as participants of the SMN 2018 must recognize the progress of PT AP 1 because all air transportation cannot be separated from the airports managed by the state-owned company.
  
Agus says that currently PT AP 1 manages and operates 13 airports in the central and eastern regions of Indonesia and is targeted to increase to 18 airports this year.
 
General Manager of PT Garuda Indonesia, Jubi Prasetyo, said that Garuda Indonesia is a state-owned airline that should be proud because it is currently recorded to have received 5 stars among 10 airlines in the world.
 
He hopes that the 2018 SMN participants can become Garuda Indonesia ambassadors in DIY.
 
"We hope to become ambassadors who can tell the story about Garuda Indonesia. Whether at home or anywhere we can talk about Garuda Indonesia," he said.
  
Meanwhile, Group Head of PKBL & CSR Indonesia Re, Fredi Aries, admits that not many people in general recognize Indonesia Re. However, this reinsurance company has made achievements as the number 2 reinsurance company in Southeast Asia.
 
"Naturally, many people don't recognize us because our main customers are insurance companies," he said.
 
As for the Head of the Indonesian Futures Clearing Project Management and Business Development Unit (KBI), Irawati, introduced that the company carried out the functions of managing clearing and underwriting, as well as settling all futures contract transactions.
 
"Our members consist of future brokers," said Irawati.
