Indonesia Re distributes 500 packages to residents of Cisarua

State-owned reinsurance company, Indonesia Re, distributed 500 food packages and lunch boxes to residents living around the Arga Sonya Resting Center (BPAS), the company's accommodation and training center facility, located in Leuwimalang Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
Corporate Secretary Indonesian Re, Mardian Adhitya, stated that this assistance for staple food necessities and lunch boxes is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity to help the society affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
"In the midst of this difficult condition, we attempt to lighten the burden on the people throughout our work environments," he added.
 
In accordance with the tagline ‘'BUMN untuk Indonesia'', Indonesia Re is committed to being present in the midst of society to help people who are economically affected as well as medical personnel who need personal protective equipment.
Indonesia Re has previoulsy donated 500 units of personal protective equipment  and four units of rapid disinfectant booths to Fatmawati Hospital, Pondok Kopi Islamic Hospital, RSPG Cisarua, Matraman Hospital, Rawa Lumbu Hospital, and Tebet Hospital.
 
Mardian continued, Indonesia Re routinely provide lunch for those in need, including residents of the Bina Insan Kedoya Social Home, West Jakarta and Kampung Pemulung in the Cipinang area, East Jakarta. "This action has been routinely held every Friday since last May," he added.
 
Meanwhile, the Head of Leuwimalang Urban Village, Yayan Nuryana, stated that the assistance from Indonesia Re was very helpful due to the fact that still many citizens have not received assistance in the midst of this pandemic, both from the government nor corporations.
 
"This gives encouragement to our residents who are economically affected as they majority work in the informal sector," he said.
 
Cisarua Sub-district Head, Deni Humaedi, whom also attented the ceremony, appreciated Indonesia Re's initiative in distributing help to residents. He encouraged other corporations, especially owner of assets in Cisarua and its surroundings, to follow the steps by Indonesia Re.
 
This provision of assistance from corporations is the first time held. Hopefully, companies that have assets here will also be willing to stay in touch with local residents," added Mardian.
