Indonesia State-Owned Enterprise Minister Appoints New Directors & Commissioners of Indonesia Re
Jakarta (Antara) -- The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) appointed new Directors of PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero) or Indonesia Re on Friday (18/10). The BUMN Minister appointed Budi Setyarso as President Commissioner/ Independent replacing Suwartomo, as well as Dadang Iskandar and Dwi Pudji Astuti Handayani as Commissioner. The Minister also appointed Kocu Andre Hutagalung as President Director replacing Frans Y. Sahusilawane who had completed his five-year tenure at Indonesia Re.

Marine Hull’s insurance loss ratio increased, premium rate war has to stop
agents to stop immediately, in order to stabilize the increasing of loss ratio in insurance industry. Marine Underwriting Department Head Indonesia Re, Gadis Purwanti said that based on Indonesia Re‘s facultative business data, the claims from tugboat and barges in 2017 reaches up to Rp.113,6 billion. It raised up to Rp.208,3 billion, and on semester 1 in 2019 reached up to Rp.218,4 billion.

We present this Special Edition of ReINFOKUS with the theme: "Improving Technical Reserves for a Healthy and Sustainable General Insurance Industry" by exploring the views and input of almost all important elements in the structure of the insurance market, including representatives of insurance company associations, insurance & reinsurance broker associations, associations. loss assessors and the Indonesian Actuary Association, and several CEOs of insurance companies in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held on August 28, 2018 in Indonesia.
Reinfokus Indonesia Re Edition I/2018
In this edition we will focus on discussing natural phenomena that occur quite often, and have great potential to occur again in Indonesia, namely earthquakes. At the beginning of 2018, we were shocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale, the shock of which was felt as far as Jakarta. Following this incident, Indonesians were shocked by the issue of a potential Megathrust earthquake with a strength of up to 8.7 on the Richter scale that arose from the south of Java Island.
